Surround Vision

Surround Vision is an award winning full service 360º content creation company specialising in VR film, documentary, interactive content and apps. Founded by Richard Nockles (who introduced 360º production to UK broadcasters back in 2010), Surround Vision push the boundaries of 360º cinematic filming and have a culture of experimentation across all interactive platforms.

Their VR team was the first to develop ‘director's view’, ‘picture-in-picture’ and a host of other cutting edge techniques that are now used widely across the interactive industry. Based in London, the team works closely with well-known brands, broadcasters and advertising agencies to tell their stories in the most creative, immersive and engaging ways. Clients include: Tate Modern, Sky, Chivas Regal, BBC, Fox TV, Disney, Ray Ban, iTV, The Guardian, Channel 4 and the United Nations.

NSC Creative

NSC Creative is an award-winning UK studio that specialises in VR, Dome, Theme Parks and Museums with over 16 years of experience. They have installed immersive experiences in over 800 venues across 60 countries. The studio has released premium cinematic VR content and has numerous room-scale VR projects in development.
NSC Creative will be showcasing 3 projects at VRWC; We Are Stars narrated by Andy Serkis, a 25 minute immersive 360°, 3D, HFR video experience for all HMD's. Currently in-dev Vestige, a ground-breaking room-scale VR project using volumetric capture, a journey through memories, a story of lost love. Currently in-dev ObserVRatarium, a room-scale interactive educational virtual museum experience for home and attractions.

Blueprint Partners

Blueprint Partners are an agency specialising in world class digital solutions including VR, internal communications and video/event production for global brands all around the world.

Blueprint will be showcasing Virtual Spine, a VR healthcare solution built for a group of London-based chiropractors, demonstrating how learnings from the project can be applied to corporate training.

Tammeka Games

Tammeka is a VR games studio based in Ascot, Berkshire. Their ambition is to create immersive experiences that inspire awe and help drive the future of VR technology.

Radial-G is a high octane sci-fi racer designed from the ground up with VR in mind. Radial-G was a launch-day title for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and shortly to be released on PSVR.

Mixed Immersion

Mixed Immersion is a London-based studio, delivering creative audio and music services to a new generation of immersive and interactive productions and platforms.

Having been focal in the invention of commercial VR and AR over the past 5 years, Mixed Immersion have seen very little attention to making amazing immersive audio, to compliment the advancements in visceral, visual VR. They help varied clients to apply techniques which have been developed over decades in film and music and create amazingly immersive and visceral, 3D audio experiences.

Coatsink

Coatsink is a passionate and talented game development team working on games for PC, VR platforms, console and mobile. Currently, they’re working on some original projects for release on PC, Oculus Rift/Gear VR, PSVR, Vive and console as well as some high-profile contract work.

Coatsink will be displaying their newly announced VR game Augmented Empire. Augmented Empire is a story-driven tactical RPG set on the island of New Savannah, an isolated neo-noir city divided into three tiers by the ‘Citizen Grade System.’ While the citizens deemed of high societal value live in luxury at the summit, outliers and criminals are forced to live in squalor at the island’s depths.

Psytec Games

Psytec games make awesome virtual reality games. Their creations, like Windlands and Crystal Rift, include some of the most recognisable and widely played VR games out there.

Psytec will be displaying their first-person grappling hook exploration game Windlands. Soar through the ruins of a fallen civilisation and discover the secrets of the ancient world. Designed with full Virtual Reality support for the HTC Vive , Oculus Rift and Playstation VR.

BELOUDEST

Beloudest is a game design and development company based in south London, with an extended, scalable and multi-disciplinary team of up to 15. It focuses on harnessing the potential of Virtual Reality technology in creating immersive and story-based games.

BAD DAY TO FLY - The ultimate VR flight combat game will be displayed on their stand at VRWC17. BDTF harnesses the immersive nature of VR through the piloting of an advanced quadcopter vehicle - using intuitive, drone-like controls - in intense aerial battles.

C.A.M.E.R.A

C.A.M.E.R.A. is a specialist motion capture research and development studio based at the University of Bath. They collaborate with industry to create new tools and processes for motion capture and virtual/augmented reality, and provide commercial motion capture services to content creators in games, film and TV.

Chameleon is a British Council funded, mixed reality exploration of the people of Mexico City by Marshmallow Laser Feast. Within a virtual gallery audiences see four individuals who use art, history, knowledge, nature, work and play to weave their identities. Chameleon presents these identities as a multidimensional reality that spectators access through virtual reality, spatialised audio, 3D printing & video.

Clicks and Links

CL specialises in immersive technology. They have a long history working with virtual worlds stemming from their founding in the year 2000. Lately, Clicks+Links have been focussing on bringing the exciting potential of virtual reality to new industries. They’ve worked with large infrastructure projects, nuclear decommissioning, as well as immersive training experiences.

CL will be displaying their eXperium VR toolkit which has been developed for applications in the infrastructure industry. It allows the import of CAD / Point Cloud and Laser Scans to a collaborative space that can then be viewed with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. If you’re interested in how VR is being used in a practical working environment, Clicks+Links are a must-visit.

VRgo

The VRGO is a new kind of seated movement input for VR that allows for intuitive, hands free locomotion. Simply by tilting in the direction you want to travel you move in the virtual space.
We are exhibiting the VRGO working with the Oculus Rift on some of our own demo content. We will be showing how the VRGO works perfectly with the Touch controllers.

Overclockers

Overclockers UK are one of the largest retailers for custom PCs, laptops, VR gaming, hardware, peripherals, & more. They will be exhibiting a virtual reality racing rig powered by the HTC Vive.

Play Nicely

Play Nicely, a Bristol based VR-AR-MR studio, will be presenting Oogi - Developed in collaboration with BBC as an Oculus Commission and available for Rift and Gear VR. This authentically narrated experience tells the story of a small Beetle with big dreams. After catching a glimpse of his girl, Oogi sets out on a perilous journey across the South African desert that will see him face fierce ants, rugged terrain, and deadly predators.

ARiVR / Rocketmakers

ARiVR will be showcasing the alpha version of their next generation dynamic advertising, product placement and tracking solution for AR and VR environments. You'll have the opportunity to use it in HTC Vive/Microsoft Hololens environments on the stand.

ARiVR are supported by Rocketmakers, the premier start-up incubator in the South West, using the latest technology to enable entrepreneurs to build and launch the rockets of the future. ARiVR is a collaboration with Virtual View Productions to enable and track advertising and product placement inside AR and VR environments.

Truvision

TruVision is one of the UK’s leading virtual reality studios providing VR solutions specifically for the construction industry. By using their expertise to fully utilise the new technology, architects, property developers and interior designers have all thrived from the ability to visualise their plans in incredible detail by virtually stepping into their creations like never before.

Bivrost

BIVROST™ is a European manufacturer of 360° video equipment, often used for live 360° streaming and cinematic VR video production. nymbl

nymbl are a technically astute moving image production studio that specialises in beautifully crafted 3D animation, mesmerising motion graphics and exceptional virtual reality experiences. Based here in Bristol and with an excellent track-record of astounding projects, we can't wait to see the imaginative VR experiences that nymbl will be displaying at VRWC17.

CDE

Based at Bath and Bournemouth Universities, the CDE is an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training funding doctoral researchers. Their researchers work closely with and in some of the most exciting high-tech companies in the world.

The researchers and students at the CDE have provided some groundbreaking work involving virtual reality, some of which will be on display at VR World Congress.

Owl VR

Owl VR produces 360˚ video and Virtual Reality experiences, stereoscopic (3d) content for 360˚viewers and 2d content for YouTube and Facebook 360 video. OWL VR also designs and builds custom camera rigs developed though their experience shooting 360˚ video.

OWL VR will be showcasing some of their recent 360˚ video work and will also be displaying their new range of 360˚ camera rigs with multiple camera sync including the first public exhibition of the OWL VR GoPro Hero 5 rig.

TOIA

Reach into a virtual world, pick up an apple and feel its shape, its weight, its surface texture. Play a quick game of Jenga – in zero gravity. We can’t explain what it’s like, you’ll just have to come and try it yourself.
Adding the sense of touch to VR is hard, doing it well is harder. There is also a bewildering array of different haptic devices out there. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a simple way to work with these devices? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could be confident  what you developed would work on any device? We’re Toia and we are democratizing the sense of touch in virtual worlds.

Interactive Scientific

Intreractive Scientific are software developers for science education & scientific visualization. They will be demo-ing a new framework that allows multiple people simultaneously inhabit the same virtual reality to interactively explore the nano-scale molecular world.
